I am starting school this summer to become an lpn, math is a weakness for me. I was wondering if any one could give me some examples of the math I will be needing so I can learn it now at my own pace.

Brush up your fractions, percentages, decimals, conversion factors. Think the kind of math you did in high school chemistry classes.....

Congrats on being accepted into the lpn program.
Check out your local library for refresher books.
I took a medical math course a couple of years ago and was worried that I wouldn't remember how to even add/subtract so off to the library I went.
The books really helped refresh my memory and I found the course also did a refresher.
You will do fine!:)
Hugs!

I found a great math book. Mathematics For Nurses. Second edition. Larry Stephens, Ph.D. Lana Stephens, RN. This book has been really helpful for me. Total review of everything from whole numbers,decimals,-to stats, temp conversions. Good Luck.

I have the same math weakness. I'm taking an online course with the community college's of Colorado (ccconline). It's Pharmacology Calculations (1 credit) and it has helped me greatly. We are using the book, "Math for Meds" by Anna Curren. You could probably pick an older edition of the book up on Ebay for a couple of bucks. I think I paid $137 for the course if that interests you as well.
Good luck!
