Looking for Pre-Req Help

Hello Everyone-

I am looking to start taking my pre-reqs for RN as soon as possible. I live in central PA and currently trying to find somewhere to take classes. I don't have a specific school in mind so I am just trying to take as many as I can now so that in the future I don't have to worry about not having a specific class done. I guess I am just looking to see if anyone on here has suggestions as to what schools would be best in my area. Also looking to see how the online classes are and what online school is the best. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

I am not in your area, but look around at the local community college for pre-reqs. Usually they have everything you need, offer in-person and online classes, and are much cheaper than going to a university for getting started. I find online classes "okay." I've done a few, and while they are great for flexibility in getting the work done, I simply learn better in the classroom environment. It just depends on how you prefer learning.

I go to Harrisburg Area Community College (hacc.edu); they have campuses in various Pennsylvania locations. They offer on campus as well as virtual (online) classes; they are accredited, and they do have LPN and RN nursing programs.

Do you want to end up with an associates degree or bachelors? Pick your degree and look at the institutions that offer it. Tailor the classes you take to their prerequisites, that way you don't spend a bunch of time and money on classes you don't actually need.
