So we had an info session at the school I'm applying to and it went really well. I asked a million questions (sorry guys) and learned that if I ace all my classes this semester I have a really good chance of getting in. Unfortunately my anxiety about getting all As during my last semester of prereqs caught up to me and I no longer have any fingernails after the session (I'd bite other people's nails if they let me jk!) I'm really determined to do well but I'm taking A&p II and micro together (which I know a lot of people have done) as well as math and an LNA course (I might also take human growth and development for the extra points. I've never taken two sciences at once and my A&p I was pretty much a joke (there's a thread somewhere here about it). I am planning on using the tips from the article posted on here about getting As in any class but I'd love any suggestions or guidance anyone could offer me to get me through!

That would probably kill me to take two hard core sciences as well as math. But then math and I don't get along too well. Just be sure to ask for help when you need it, and stay on top of A & P. Can't advise you on micro, that wasn't a pre req for me to get in. (Thank God).

Take a deep breath...now, this is coming from someone that f***ed up in college right after high school. I didn't care about my grades, and took a few years off. Now, my head is on straight & I figured out nursing is my passion. I had to retake every class I screwed up in before, even if it was nursing related. It was a pain. Last semester was the one I needed all As in, because I was going to apply to my BSN program right afterwards. I took micro, Biology, nutrition, math & lifespan psych...18 credit hours...while working 16 hours a week...with a boyfriend & 2 kids...and I got straight As!!! I just applied in June. Anything a possible. Trust me, I have anxiety and every time I got less than an A on any exam or quiz, I'd freak out!! BUT my professors knew how badly I wanted this & saw how hard I worked. My nutrition prof even bumped me to an A after the final, because I was so close. She told me its because I was there everyday & participated...never skipped any classes & studied every night. I promise you, if it's important to you, you can & will find a way to do it! Good luck to you!!

I took astronomy too lol thankfully my school goes by a point system so if I get As this upcoming semester I have a really good shot at getting in. I'll then take my last two or three coreqs in the summer so all I have to concentrate on are nursing classes. It's an ADN program. The only issue is that it's an hour and a half away. I may have someone in my area Getting in too which would be great so we could carpool. Unfortunately due to credit I'm not applicable for most loans (I'm 24) and my mom who was my consigner before filed for bankruptcy so she can't be it either. Otherwise I'd try to use some money to live there. Eep.

Thank you all for the advice. My classes don't start until Tuesday but I already have a headstart on studying for A&p II. I'm determined!
