I am currently taking a one month A&P class with Psychology and the AP is really kicking my ass study wise, I have managed to get good grades but if I want to get an A, I have to get an A on this upcoming test...

So...I have to study what my teacher says "over 600 muscles" by this coming monday for the test, along with NEURONS and Spinal Cord chapters........... How do I study the muscles?? Please give me tips!

BTW I have one day to study all the muscles, an entire day...can I do it?? I have to use my other two days for the other chapters...

I grouped and made lists, including how many were in each group. And I studied by writing it over and over again. Like, how many bones in head, then the name of bones. Same idea as flash cards, but I would just grab a notebook, and keep writing it down. At first I would remember how how many, and get a few of the names. Knowing how many, helped me to know to keep working on trying to remember all of them. I am also visualizing as well. Breaking it up made it seem like smaller tasks. Smaller tasks are doable. The larger ones are just plan scary.

I agree with spangle brown, I broke up into groups, all the muscles that had same insertion or orgin in groups, wrote over and over and visualized throughout the day. Writing them over and over helped with spelling and memorization, hard class for a summer session, but doable. Goodluck

Try the Quizlet website. Ready made flash cards from other struggling students.

Thing about flash card is its going to take me way too long to make all of them plus all the terms of muscles i.e location, direction, action. i really thought skeleton system was going to be the hardest part, but I was OH SO WRONG =__=
