How many ABSN programs should I apply to?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am planning on applying to some ABSN programs for 2017, but I am having a hard time picking which schools I should apply to. I want to make sure I am able to complete all of the required prerequisites for where I decide. Right now I have a pretty long list that I should probably narrow down.

I have about a 3.6 GPA from my undergrad degree, and so far I have A's in all of the basic prereqs. I am doing A & P I & II this semester and next semester and microbiology next semester. I am also taking classes so that I can become a Patient Care Technician/Phlebotomist/EKG Tech, and I hope to find a job doing that for at least a year.

How many schools should I realistically apply to? I really want to be able to get accepted somewhere because I don't want to have to wait even longer to start nursing school!

I would apply to as many as you can, that you would truely be willing to attend. It never hurts to be prepared.

I'm in the same boat you are! Right now I'm planning on applying to three programs in January, four if I take the GRE for an ELMSN.
