How do I improve my TEAS 6 score?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi, all!

I recently took my first TEAS exam and i scored a 78. I scored a 74.5% in reading, 81.3% in math, 83% in science, and 79.3% in english.

I studied a bit every day for a month leading up to my exam. I mainly studied out of the TEAS secrets manual by mometrix. I took notes, did practice exams and watched quizzes. Needless to say, I'm not content with an overall score of 78.

I'm willing to study though. I am an A student and I have A's in all of my prerequisites. The only prerequisites I still need to take are microbio and stats.

Does anyone have have tips to help me improve my score? I'm aiming for at least a 90. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you :)

Get the ATI app and TEAS mastery app. Just keep doing practice questions. The more you practice the better your scores will be. Especially practice the reading question because that's your lowest area.

Study, study, and then study some more. There are lots of free apps for Teas test prep. Also there are free online tests you can take. When you take the online tests try and recreate the same type of environment as when you really take the it. The Hesi A2 is another nursing entrance exam. If you run out of TEAS things to take, you can switch it up and try some of the free HESI stuff. I have taken both test. I think they are similar but the TEAS is a little harder.
