Help with essay!!

I am applying to USF and they want a one to two page essay with the application. They want me to write about myself and explain how I will help the university carry out their mission. Their mission is to have their students aquire the knowledge. skills, values, and sensitivities needed to succeed as a person, professional, and architect of a more humane and just world. What am I supposed to write!?! I am completley at a loss on this one. Please help - any ideas would be appreciated!! :(

Wow, that is a hard one. I know all you want to really do is get in, get educated, and get out. lol

Maybe talk about how you will adapt your study habits in order to make good grades, how you will represent the university in a positive manner, etc. .....I'm not really sure. I'd be stuck for sure!

Now, to me, that is not that hard a question. You obviously have read their mission statement. Break it down into it's major points which you sort of have already and then tell them in an essay how you agree with their ideas and how you see yourself using the knowledge and skill you learn in school to become the best at your profession that you can be so you are an worthy ambassador for them. They are looking for your writing skills on this as much as they are wanting to see if you understand their mission. Be very serious about your grammer and sentence construction in this essay.

Not hard at all. You have to sell yourself in paper. I know that it is hard to do praise yourself on paper but it isn't too bad.

Start by maybe highlighting a few points that demonstrate that you are a responsible, caring, person who is ready to pursue this.

Mention the areas in your life that prove you are successful and have what it takes.

What do you plan to contribute to the program? You have to make let them know that you will be an asset to the program. You plan to work very hard towards your goal............how do you plan to get there etc.........
