Has anyone taken HIT-204 at SBCC?

I am currently enrolled in Basic Psychopathology at SBCC for Summer II session. I just got the syllabus and it seems like a whole lot of work.. Anyone got any tips on how to suceed in the class. Looks like I have to read 4 chapters a week and take proctored online quizzes. Any ideas on how best to study?

If you're referring to Sant Barbara City College HIT-204 is pathophysiology, not psychopathology. I go to UCSB and have taken psychopathology! Let me know if you need any help regarding that class!

Are you talking about Santa Barbara City College? If you are what class is that? I took a bunch of my prerequisites there.

Yes, that's the college! I wanted to know about Pathophysiology or Pharmacology. A lot of people took the class before 2014, but I haven't been able to find more recent reviews.

Yes, I took pathophysiology with Santa Barbara City College. What do you want to know? I look the online class during summer 2017. Basically, it's an independent class. I read the book and self-taught myself the material. I think there was weekly exams that are proctored through a program.

Was it extremely difficult? Did you have prior knowledge of patho beforehand? I have taken Anatomy and Physiology, however, I am extremely nervous because this class is set up for 6 weeks which seems intense.

I did have basic knowledge of patho because I did my undergrad in human bio. Nonetheless, this class was challenging for because I honestly forgot everything I learned in college and it was a pretty fast class! But I thought it was worth it for the price and time.

Thank you so much! I haven't heard anything from students about these classes so I was wary about enrolling, however, just being able to voice my concerns and get some reassurance is amazing!

I took it a year ago w/ the teacher whose initials are LM (we can't put names on here). If you are taking it as an 8-week course, I hope you're not working, don't have other classes and plan to stay indoors for 8 weeks and not do one thing. She is a very nice instructor, but she tests on the tiniest details from the book and I thought the class was tough. There is no way I would take this class unless it was a whole semester. There were some chapters that went over a lot of stuff and usually, in the regular semester, you were doing about 2-3 chapters per week. I can't imagine double-timing it.

If you are good at retaining very tiny details, you won't sink. If you really need an "A," be prepared to have your life taken over by this class.

One word of advice: Don't slack on the report.

AND by the way, the class uses Proctorio. Proctorio is an extension you have to add to your browser so that your computer films you while taking tests. No notes, books, flash cards allowed as you are being filmed while testing. A lot of classes at SBCC use this now for their online classes
