Have you looked at community colleges? I'm taking my classes at a community college but they aren't cheap. Each class costs me $550. You can apply for financial aid. Start by filling out the fafsa.

I didn't apply for financial aid because I really wouldn't have qualified but I know of others who have gotten financial aid for their pre-reqs.

Community colleges are much cheaper. I think you have to take a full-time course load to receive financial aid. But you'd be best off to talk to someone at a school's financial aid office. They have all the details and can look at your specific information to help you out better.

P.S. Shhhh...we can hear you!

Holy bright, huge font Batman!

Try a local community or technical college. Mine only cost me $700 total to do all my pre-req's.

I agree that a community college is your best bet. As far as financial aid goes, my CC would only help if you were seeking a degree, regardless of the number of credit hours. Since I already had a degree and was only taking pre-requisites I got nothing. Maybe things will work out better at your CC.

I agree with everyone else. I'm going for a second degree. Since I already have a bachelor's degree financial aid doesn't apply to me for an associate level degree. But, the classes are still cheaper and i'm able to have a payment plan. Hope that helps.
