  1. I took my entrance test on sept 6 and i had my interview on the 12th . i received a letter stating i was not accepted. i was very stressed that week and the week before. I had to serve on grand jury for a whole week and the week of my interview my grandfather was having mini strokes and had a stroke the day before the test. i wrote a letter and explained what had happened and told them my whole self was not able to do the interview. i ask for a second chance. could my stress level been high. does anyone have any ideas to help me. i would appriecate your thought and ideas is it wrong to write a letter. i feel it in my heart to do this

Sorry to here about you not getting in. You are going to get a lot of replies from the poor you people and the it is wrong people, but not me.

I wouldln't have wrote a letter but I would have explained the day of the interview what was going on and told them that I will do my best. Nursing is a field full of tremendous pressures and nursing school is probably the hardest thing you will do in life. It can take a toll on your marriage, health and life.

Times like your interview are when you need to pull it together the most. What would of happened if all that series of event happened right before a week of clinical, would you tell the family of a dead patient "my whole self was not able to give them the right medicine"?

Hopefully they will give you another chance, but be on your "A" game from that point on.

I would apply again at the next opportunity, could it be that you weren't accepted because getting in is so competitive and it may not have anything to do with how you performed at your interview? Keep your head up and try again :wink2:

I don't think the letter will help much. Just try to be prepared for the next chance! Good luck!

I'm just jumping the gun on all this stuff anyway. I like knowing what lies ahead of me.
