Csu Application HELP!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi everyone!

so the deadline for the csu application is due tomorrow and I just tried to submit my application but it will not let me. I have put that my intended major is "Nursing (transfer w/o RN license)" but when I try to submit my application it says "This campus currently restricts applications that meet certain conditions. Your application cannot be accepted because...Please select an alternate major that is not undeclared." Should I change it to something other than nursing even though that is what I'm applying for? Did any of you encounter this problem? If so, what did you do?

Which school is it? Are you a first-time freshman, transfer student, or second bachelor's student?

Last year when i was applying as a first-time freshman, I discovered that some csu campuses require you to select odd majors when applying for prereqs. CSU Bakersfield and Long Beach let me just put "Nursing - BSN (Pre-Licensire)" but SFSU made me put something like "Undeclared - Interest in Nursing" and they saved the "nursing - bsn" for people actually applying to the program.

Unfortunately no one will be at the campus tomorrow to answer any questions, so maybe you could peruse the campus' nursing website (around the pre-nursing area) and see if they want to to select something different for the major?

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

I realize the date has passed now, but I think I had to put "undeclared" as well. It's not about the university accepting you, but rather, the nursing program.

I kept nursing as my major and put nutritional science as my backup! Thank you for your responses though :)
