Confident?

Anyone scared to be confident about getting in? Like you'll jinx yourself if you feel confident in the slightest bit? I have great grades but that doesn't mean anything. People keep saying, "oh you'll be fine. You'll make it." and it bugs me because that may not be so! I'm way too scared to be confident about it just based on grades. I'm sure there are a lot who applied that have good grades.

Nope. I was confident as could be. 4.0, great test scores, no way will I not get in.

Then, I got in. Great. But, I found out that some people with 4.0s were put on the waiting list! So, I was apparently overconfident. :lol2:

I was super scared to be too confident! I think I didn't want to expect it and then be really let down if something happened.

So, I tried to be really negative about it until I got my acceptance letter...now I can be wildly positive :)

There is nothing wrong about being "too confident" when it comes to your career and your dreams. Being confident is the only thing you can be when others attempt to pull you down. Let me tell you, I had people tell me that I wouldn't be able to hang in there because I lacked the confidence, was too shy and inable to interact with my patients. Boy did I prove her wrong. This was my CNA clinical instructor. Not only did I pass her class with a 97 percentile, I passed my written and skills test for the Red Cross, and I got admitted to the RN program. So boo-ya to her face. My next goal is to find a job with my certifification. It has not been easy, but once again, I am going to prove them wrong.
