Bones, Articulations, Muscles...Oh my!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Please tell me I am NOT alone! I've stopped counting the number of hours I've spent studying. If you are in the thick of your anatomy class, please stand up. :)

Good luck to you!!

I'm with ya!! We are on bones right now and it is definitely confusing!! I'm going to our library Thursday after work because they have extras in there and I'm going to take pictures of each bone so I can study at home more. Some of the markings are confusing but the more I study and look at pics it seems to be helping. I'm hoping muscles are a little easier...

Good day:

Once you get the bones down, muscles, circulatory and the like become easier because you have the foundation from what you've learned with the bones.

Thank you.

I am SO happy to hear that it will get easier once we get these bones down. I too wish I had a bone box at home like we do in lab! I have been using the visible body on-line and it has been helpful. I also watch you-tube videos. It is very time consuming to memorize, however it is nice to hear that it will pay off!

Did your books come with any online resources ? Mine did they are a little helpful. Other than that today I am studying (cramming) the axial and appendicular musculature because I have an exam tommorow ahhhh

Good day:

Zygote Body is a great, free, resource.

Does your school have a model room you can use outside of lab time?

I've also found taking pictures, and marking up pictures helps a lot.

Thank you.

my favorite bone box Practice Anatomy Lab 2.0

self review to learn. quiz/practical to test your self.

I loved learning all the bones, the skull, and all the muscles. I just broke them down into smaller bites and learned those before I moved to the next bite...

The bones are not the hardest part, wait till you get to cardiovascular with its "wired men". For me personally, anatomy is the best part. I loved learning bones, muscles, heart, veins, etc. Physiology, on the other hand, is so much harder! I am a visual learner.

Try to get a study group in college, so you will have someone helping you learn.

dt70 and pmabraham, AMAZING sites! THANK YOU!! Also, we are very fortunate that our professor offers open lab on Friday's and often times on the weekend for a few hours. We also have a lab outside of lab that is helpful!

Right there with ya!
