HAS ANYONE EVER DONE BIO AND MICROBIO IN A 8WK SUMMER SERSSION? HOW WAS IT? DOES MICOBIO AND BIO GO Hand IN HAND TO MAKE IT A LITTLE EASIER?

I'm taking A+P 2 this summer over 6 weeks...and waiting until Fall for Micro b/c I can't apply to the nursing program until Fall for Spring admission so there's no need to rush. I already am worried about A+P 2 crammed into 6 weeks.

Last week I took Human Dev. Psych, Eng 102, and Soc 101 in a 6 week summer session and it was easy...but then again they were pretty easy courses.

wow you guys are scaring me now. I will be taking A&P 1 and nutrition for summer one, which is six weeks, and then A&P 2 and Life Span for summer 2 which is also six weeks.. Am i taking on too much? I also have two young boys, and a husband to deal with, and I have not gone to school in 16 years. I am trying to get into the nursing program for the fall semester. Wish me luck, and Pray for me.

IT CAN BE DONE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS STUDY. I WILL BE TAKING PHYSIC1, AND ORGANIC1 THIS SUMMER AT TWO SCHOOLS, SO IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN TOO. JUST REMEMBER TO DO YOUR VERY BEST. GOOD LUCK. :yelclap: :yelclap:

it really just depends on your school/professor. I took 12 credits last summer..which included organic1 and 2 plus the lab and a business class. It is doable, you just have to be prepared to put a little more time into it (which might be a little easier since you will only have to focus on 2 classes). I personally am glad I took the orgo sequence over summer.

As for Bio and microbio going hand in hand..once again it all depends on the professor. I personally thought my 2 bio classes were ridiculously hard (half the class dropped it)...and it was all stuff I had learned in high school. I am in microbio right now and enjoy it a lot more than bio. My prof focuses more on the actual viruses and diseases where as the other prof focuses more on the glycolysis cycle and more of the molecular genetics crap..hence the reason as to why the average on her first exam was a 68 and for my prof it was an 85!

Just think about how much effort you are willing to put into classes this summer. They will take more time due to the fast pace, but I would rather go through torture for 6-8 weeks rather than 16 weeks of it.

I'll be taking Micro this summer for 8 weeks. I know it will be a lot of work..but, I would much rather get it out of the way before I start my nursing classes in the fall. Since I'm already in the program, I'm going to take micro at another CC and use it as a transfer credit. lol....that way it won't be one my GPA in the event that I don't do as well as I expected.

Hello everyone,

I have a six week microbiology course this summer. I will be studying very hard because I need to get at least a B to keep my scholarship. I am not looking forward to it at all....I also know that this is something I want to get done this summer! I'll be happy when I finish micro this summer :rotfl:
