      ACT Score

Good evening my I am a student at Shelton State in Tuscaloosa, Al but I will be attending Faulkner University in Mobile, Alabama where I actually live. I took the ACT my senior year and made a 13. I didn't think it would be that important. All that matter was graduating from high school. I fell in love with with nursing my senior year. I've been to 2 community colleges and one trade school for medical assistance. I been told so many times that to get into nursing I half to have a 18 or above ACT score. I've been out of school for 5 years I'll be 25 in July. I'm trying to see can I get into nursing school without an ACT score or I will still half to have it regardless. Because they say After 25 or being out of school for 5 years the ACT score doesn't matter anymore.

How the heck would anyone be able to answer this? Have you considered checking with the school(s) you're interested in to see what their admission requirements are?

You will have to check with the schools about ACT scores. When I went to community college an ACT score wasn't necessary. However the individual schools can give you advice about this we here cannot.

Not yet I was just going to go to university of South Alabama for it but I am in the morning

I will and thank you

I attended the University of Mobile and they required the ACT, and you had to make a minimum of 19 on it. I think the University of South Alabama will take a 16. You will definitely have to have it, regardless how long you have been out of high school. (And it is "have," not "half.")

Ok and thanks

There are probably many schools that dont require the ACT at all, but they may require that you take other testing to prove your abilities.
