I figured I'd open a general thread for those of us waiting on admissions decisions for Fall 2014, who have applied to more than one school.

1 question I have about the program...... Are the NP programs online and are they offered to everyone or just texas residents??

Congratulations!!! I have not heard yet from UTA PMHNP...Did you just hear? Is this for the traditional FNP that you heard from? The deadline was June 15, so, I'm hoping to hear soon!

I got accepted into their AP (Academic Partnership) FNP program. Its nationwide and based on GPA. They accept people until slots are full. They start a new co-hort about every 6 weeks. The June session starts tomorrow. We're starting with Analysis of Theory and Advanced Patho - looks pretty overwhelming..

I got accepted into their AP (Academic Partnership) FNP program. Its nationwide and based on GPA. They accept people until slots are full. They start a new co-hort about every 6 weeks. thanks for responding so promptly, are you located in Texas? I called UTA a few weeks ago and spoke with a rep and she stated the FNP online program was only available to texas nurses. Has something changed that u know of recently??

You have to go through the academic partnership application - its the same but a different process. We have a few girls from Cali in my theory class for sure. Patho hasnt really started up yet. Google UTA Academic Partnership FNP and it should take you there. I can PM you the contact info if that doesnt work

The PMHNP program is a traditional program. There will be some parts online (hybrid is what the academic advisor stated). Some are traditional, but, they do have FNP online, I believe. I'd like to strictly do Psych/Mental Health NP. I live in Texas, so, I never wondered about out of state prospectives.
