I figured I'd open a general thread for those of us waiting on admissions decisions for Fall 2014, who have applied to more than one school.
List your schools, the programs you applied to, and your stats. Aaaaand, GO!
Hi All!First post on this site, I searched for information on average GPA for my FNP programs and found this post, its perfect!! I applied to Northern AZ University and University of South Alabama FNP programs. My overall GPA is 3.8 with a nursing GPA of 3.9. Waiting to hear back from both schools....The last I heard is USA will let us know something by May 1, 2014 and I'm guessing a similar time frame for NAU. I'm trying not to think about it but the suspense is awful!! Good luck to all!
I thought that USA would be more like mid to end of May since the deadline for apps was April 1st and they state 6-8 weeks from then for decisions to be mailed. I HOPE it is more like May 1st lol but did the university give you that info? Just curious. If so I am even more nervous now lol. Regardless, good luck!
Hey rnmindy!
I just double checked my e-mails, the deadline I was given was March 1 for the application to be turned in and the e-mail I received on March 18 saying they had prepared my application for review said that they will "Mail letters to all applicants before May 1 to provide them with the Committees decision". I hope this is helpful! I'm a bundle of nerves too, USA's application process was brutal :/ Good luck to you!!
I applied to USA's Advanced Emergency room NP (dual degree) masters program. I have a nursing GPA of 3.8, 6+ years in the ER, and time served in recovery room, and radiology (doing moderate sedation during endovascular procedures), for a total of 8 years. I emailed my secondary application on March 31st, completed the CAS requirements 3 weeks before that, information was verified, and they have cashed my check. I have not heard anything from USA. I am completing the BSN program @ USA this month, and will graduate with my BSN on May 10, 2014. I have really enjoyed my learning experience @ USA, and look forward to expanding my education and career with a NP degree.
