Can anyone speak of the cost per credit hour? Seems the norm is around 400 ish

Spoke to an advisor today. She said around 735 $ a credit hr, roughly 34k for the program plus a 325 $ fee every semester. Hope this helps someone. Can anyone speak on the grading curve? I read in the forum someone stated anything less thsn 82 was a C which gets you into trouble with the program..

Anything below 85% is a C. One course with a C = academic probation. 2 or more C grades = academic suspension from the program.

I'm in my third class and still going with no plans on switching at this point if that tells you anything. Yes, there is some significant disorganization but they seem to be working on it continually. Its a new program so can be expected. My first class had an okay professor - not much feedback, but she was available and would help best she could. Second class was horrible professor - she was not considerate to other students, took weeks to grade papers, often didn't show up for the scheduled class meetings (which she set time for) and had excuse after excuse. Now with that said, she did not grade overly hard as I don't think she had time to do any of it. So not a good professor to learn from, but if can ignore it all eventually it all worked out fine for the type of basic class it was. Now in my third class and the professor is awesome!!!! It is patho so really appreciate having a good instructor. Next class starts soon adding to patho and haven't seen how this will be. So, yes I think it is okay and hopefully continues to improve.

So far, the program is doable. I am currently in Advanced Pathophysiology and Professional Role Development. There is a lot of work but if you commit to the program, it is not too overwhelming.

Will start adv health assessment and adv pharm. Everything has been good so far.
Previously, a lot of writing, projects, discussion boards, & reading.
I agree that there is a lot of work. It is doable. Just have to commit.

Can anyone describe the structure of the NP classes (pathophysiology, pharmacology, & physical assessment) in Maryville U's FNP program? Are there any lectures provided? Do these courses mainly involve case studies, group projects, proctored exams, etc.?
I am thinking of applying into this program but found very little info on their website.

Any info anyone going through this program can share will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ADvisors can give you even more detailed info, but it all depends on the class. Lectures are via online material and recorded information, but not sure much with instructors. There are some instructors who give more detailed lectures during their class times, but mostly for questions and answers. In patho there are case studies too. The exams are not proctored, but are timed and not in all classes. Patho has exams, but many of the other early classes such as theory, leadership, evidence based practice, etc do not have exams but a lot of paper writing. There is group work in all classes. I have not taken pharm or physical assessment yet, but set up is the same from what I understand. Basically, you have a variety of ways to learn the material with the online material on the school platform with recordings and other readings, textbooks and other info the professor provides sometimes in addition to her own self-learning. Hope that helps some.

Thanks, kjfhome. I am currently enrolled at another school but am looking to transfer out of that program. I have heard a lot of good things about Maryville U and am considering applying with them.
Wishing you the best in your FNP education.

I'm considering Maryville for their FNP program. Could you please give me any feedback about your experience there. Do they bury you with papers? What are the tests like? etc? Any info would be appreciated.

Does Maryville bury you with papers? How many hours do you spend on coursework per week?

How are you doing in the program? I am starting my second year in September.
