CCAC Fall 2014 Applicants

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hello All,

I am starting a new thread for the upcoming application process for CCAC fall 2014 nursing admissions. I applied for the sping 2014 cohort and was declined due to my gpa, but now I'm hopeful for my first choice for the fall! I can't wait to get the application process started and wish the rest of you the best of luck!!

In the packet with the acceptance letter there was another piece of paper ( it was blue in the Boyce letter) that says the date of your orientation and list the schedule options an clinical options. Hope that helps.

Also you want to check if you have this ASAP because Boyce has orientation today and the other sites are probably today or soon.

For all the Boyce Fast Track students, I just made a new thread so we can chat about stuff specific to our program after orientation today:

I didn't get one in my acceptance package. I'm going to call and find out why now. South campus orientation is May 13th Thank u for the info!

I am in Allegheny evening too , and I am wondering what we have to do now just wait for packets or we should start our background check and that stuff ... Pls let me know if you have free time ...

No, we need to wait for our packets first.

How was everyone's (who had it) orientation go today?

Picked what classes we wanted, then ordered uniforms. Nothing exciting. What took the longest was waiting to get picked by the "lottery" to pick classes and clinical dates. The woman at ours (boyce) called 3 numbers at a time and I think there were 90 of us.

Hello everybody, I have started a new thread for the Fall 2014 Allegheny Evening cohort: CCAC Allegheny Evening Fall 2014 Nursing Students. Feel free to collaborate moving forward, can't wait to begin the program. I will still be reading all relevant threads to keep informed regarding this process, especially from those who are starting earlier. Good luck to everybody!

Good luck everybody and remember to learn the material, understand the concepts and apply them to patients in real life scenarios. :bookworm:

Do you have to try and order the uniforms at the meeting?

Only if u want to. I went to the uniform store that does their uniforms and my order was ready the next day. I got 2 shirts, 2 pants and the lab coat. Cost 108. They are currently sitting in my room now. The store knew what styles and the color. Just had to tell them what school. And u can try them on at the store. There was a long line at orientation and I didn't want to wait.
