Hi all,

I am just wondering what the average pay for an RN in or around Pittsburg would be, I have a year of expereince, and I am associcates if that matters.

My brother lives in youngstown, Ohio, and I just recently visited him and was shocked how the cheap the cost of living is down there. I am just wonder if the pay matches that.

Thanks,

Sweetooth

Depends on what type of work. If you mean fulltime in the hospital as a staff nurse with one year experience, probably start you at 23.00 per hour with benefits. If you want to work for a staffing agency, then its usually 34-40 depending on the area, but call offs happen alot .The cost of living here is getting high, but no where near out west. The biggest employer for nursing is UPMC, then West Penn and Excella. They are competitive on starting rates.

Specializes in CTICU.

.. and PittsburgH has an "h" at the end! Hehe.
