Hi, there!

I see that your thread has not accrued any replies within the past few days, so I've moved it over to the Oregon Nurses forum with the hope of getting your question expediently answered.

Hi,

This is Nurseby07's husband. I too am a nurse (LPN) on my way to being an RN. I graduated from PPC last October. Good school. Most all instructors are great and management is super! Once some of the faculty has some teaching experience under their belts the school will be even better. I can't think af anything bad to say. Just remember your House of Nightingale!

Did you feel you were prepared for the clinicals and the NCLEX exam? Because alot of us feeling like we are missing alot of information, and our first round of clinicals for most of us, was not very good. I am in my third term, and I am just getting a little nervous if I am going to be read, for the NCLEX. I have alot of CNA and Unit Secretary experience. So I am not nervous about being able to perform as a nurse, but I want to know that I know everything I need to know and that I am well prepared for the NCLEX. Any more feed back you can give me would be appreciated!!

I just graduated from Apollo's LPN program last Oct. and I think the programs are pretty similar. What kinds of clinicals have you done and how much longer do you have to go in your program? To be honest I don't think any of my class 'felt' ready for the NCLEX but we had a 100% 1st time pass rate! Good luck!

Sorry for the delay in responding,

As far as the N-CLEX is concerned: There is one class, I believe in the last quarter that deals with a Lippencot book on N-CLEX. I didn't think that was enough so I bought the Kaplan's course. I was more than ready for the test on test day. I learned from my wife not to leave anything to chance and take every chance to study for it. Best of luck,
