If you don't mind sharing. Please include your area of specialty, shift, and years of experience. I am curious to know if I'm getting a competitive wage. I work in long term memory care, 8 years experience and making $23.20 (after my annual raise) no shift differential, on the evening shift. This is my first job in Oregon so I have nothing to compare it to. Thanks!

Wow! In Tennessee, I started out at $14.75 as an evening shift LPN in 2002, that was in LTC. Just before becoming an RN earlier this year, my hourly LPN wage was $17.10. LPNs in this region rarely are paid more than $18-$19 per hour with the exception of private duty cases, which typically pay more.

I am going to venture to say that is a good rate, considering as a new RN in LTC I started out at $24 and the seasoned LPNs I worked with were in the $18-20 range, that was 4 years ago.

I live in rural west Tennessee . First job offered 16.50 in LTC. Just offered 18.50 for a PDC with 3 1/2 years experience .

LPN in Texas 2010 $15.75 at a LTC. went to PDN and make 27.00 as of right now. About to finish RN school. I know I will probably take a pay cut if I leave PDN.

In Portland I worked LTC dementia, RN charge nurse evening shift. Started at $26.50 with no shift differential. No idea what the LPN's where paid.
