Learning Ortho Surgical Instruments - Resource Suggestion?

I just passed my NCLEX a few days ago so this is my first time posting in here! Boy, does it feel good. Enough of the wonderment....

I just interviewed and was offered my firsr job as an RN. It is a specialty nurse advance training program. I will be at an out patient surgical center learning how to be an OR nurse. This is a really great opportunity and I want to do a good job. I'm going to have about a week or so of downtown before the the position actually starts. This surgical center does a great deal of ortho surgery and I would like to get familiar with the names of the instruments to hopefully make things not seem so awkward in the OR and make mu transition a tiny bit smoother. Does anyone know a great place to help learn the names of ortho instruments? Thanks!

You might want to look into AORN's periop 101 program which will also help with becoming a periop nurse. You will need to learn basic instruments and basic surgeries before you jump into ortho.

I understand what uou are saying but I am to learn ortho first.
