UT AE-MSN 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all -

Just wondering who else is applying for the AE-MSN program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am applying to the psych NP track and super nervous about it! I know previous applicants did not hear back about interviews until early December and decisions until early February.

I take the GRE next week, and then my application is complete! I'm applying for the CNS program and hoping to specialize in Diabetes/Endocrinology. I'm so glad someone finally started a thread for this session!

I am applying for NP track as well. Trying to not get my nerves too worked up!

I am going to shoot for the stars this year, too. I am unsure if I am competitive enough, but I feel like the experience couldn't hurt. Also going for PMHNP.

Have any of you guys submitted your application yet? I just finished my final two items today, but I am scared to click that "Submit" button! I feel like I should read over everything a thousand times even though I already have X__X

I finally hit "send" on my application (psych np track). Now just anxiously waiting to hear back about interviews!

Did anyone go to one of the info sessions? I wasn't able to, but a but curious about what I missed. Did they said anything about how many spots might be available this year?

I went to one in July and they did not include that information, but reading from previous years' threads I believe there are around 8 spots for the psych NP track.

Just submitted my application today. Here we go!

Hi guys. I'm a second semester ae student. Wasn't long ago I scoured this site for info. Some of you have probably seen our 2015 thread. If not take a look lots of good info on there. Good luck on your applications!!!!

I applied too. I feel like I'm hearing crickets out here compared to other years threads -- do they know something we don't?

Hashi, how is everything going for you? I have parts of the previous thread memorized :D Scouring is what I do best!! Or at least very, very proficiently.

I hit submit for the LEADs program AE MSN last week! I emailed Tracy (from the Grad dept) and she said we should be hearing about the next step by mid-October (EEK!).

Good luck everyone!!

So far so good. You may hear allot of people say it's tough but doable...... That still rings true. Ive noticed as time goes on I've adjusted to the speed. In a nutshell, lots of work, great cohort (I was lucky), great professors who really want you to get through, clinicals are good and its one of the best schools for nursing in the country. So no complaints.
