University of Michigan 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has anyone applied to the University of Michigan's 2nd degree accelerated nursing program for start date Sept. 2014? Just curious to see what other applicants there are out there. I saw a very long thread in the past that had a lot of info on how long UofM takes to make decisions & felt we could all keep each other in the loop on how things are going for each of us. Good luck to all!

i had a previous account

Well hopefully the rest of us will hear this week! I applied in November and my application was finalized in January so maybe its going in waves based on when you applied... Maybe haha

I just got an e-mail that I made it on the wait list.

I just got wait listed today but will decline on wolverine access since I'm going to msu. Good luck all!

I also received admission to the wait list. So I guess more waiting!

I also received admission to the waitlist so hopefully a few people have already decided on other schools. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone figured out what their university of Michigan id is for those of you who weren't uofm students or grads prior to being accepted or put on the wait list? I created my friend account but can't log in to the students and business area to accept or deny my offer. It's not in any of the emails I received.

Jane1117: I was able to get in. Did you go under "new & prospective student center"?

Yes. It was making me enter a umich id #...either way I emailed admissions and they said an email denial is fine :)

For those of you who also were waitlisted. After you confirmed your acceptance to the waitlist, what does your status on the wolverine access page say? Mine says "you have accepted admission to the university," which got my hopes up that I've been accepted, but I think it may actually just mean I accepted the waitlist. Anyone else?

When I logged back on to Wolverine Access and click on decision, it says this:

"Thank you for your application to the University of Michigan School of Nursing. After an individualized and comprehensive review of your application and all related materials, a decision has been made. We regret that we are not able to offer you a place in our upcoming class at this time. However, you have been placed on a waitlist. Should an opening become available, you will be notified immediately. If no openings are available and you are a freshman, you will hear from us by the end of June. If you are a sophomore transfer, you will hear from us by the beginning of May; otherwise, you will hear from us no later than the end of August."

Okay. That's from the "Application Status" page? Did you have a previous account with UM from undergrad? Also, did you receive an email from ITCS concerning activating a uniqname?
