Skagit Valley College Spring 2018 anyone??

Hello again! After making a mistake on my application for Skagit Valley Fall 2017 cohort, I am now applying for Spring 2018 cohort. Are there any fellow nervous anticipators out there!? I'm going in with 95.17 points, but am super nervous with how competitive their program is. They also started a TEAS refresher course, which could definitely mean higher TEAS scores:nailbiting:! Anyway, looking forward to hearing from others going into Skagit's program and going through the process together:laugh:

I am applying with a 96.86 and am super nervous as well. This is also my second time applying to this program. My first application was for a transfer nursing student, for I have already taken Fundamentals of Nursing already with an A in that course and wanted to start Skagit Valleys program in their second semester. They denied my application because the program that I was in in Colorado did not teach IV skills until the beginning of that programs second term and they teach IV skills in the first quarter of Skagits program. So I decided that if I have to restart I absolutely will because I want so badly to be a nurse one day. Good Luck!!! I hope that we all get in because these scores are amazing!

Good luck to you Feathers, that's a great score! I'm sorry your first application wasn't approved. I already have an LPN license, but I'm nervous to hold out until Fall for their bridge program since they only offer it every 2 years, and it's also a 2 hour drive from my house one way. I'm applying for Spring as a safety, so my fingers are double crossed!!

Hey there everyone! Skagit has a very competitive program, but you guys all have amazing scores! I was told that 93.?? was the lowest they allowed in for Fall 2017 cohort, so we are all very competitive for Spring. My concern is that SVC just offered the TEAS prep class last quarter, so I'm thinking there may be pretty high scores this time around. We shall see:nailbiting:. February cannot come fast enough!! What are you all doing while waiting? Are you prepping? Taking winter classes? Relaxing in the calm before the storm? I am just going crazy in impatience, lol! Also, where are you guys located? I am in Oak Harbor

Thank you very much! Good luck to you as well. Your plan sounds great because it is so hard to get in to most programs and I could not imagine waiting until fall and applying and not getting in and wishing you had applied for spring. You seem to have a great plan.

I am actually relaxing and taking a quarter off because if I was to take the last chemistry course for the pre-nursing major I would complete a degree and not qualify for a state grant. So cheers to that :)

Since I have already completed fundamentals of nursing once (with an A) I hope that it is easier this time around.

And I also live in Oak Harbor! I am seriously not looking forward to that daily commute to Mount Vernon.

I live in Arlington so I'm a bit of a ways south. I just submitted my application today, I had to have my employer sign a work verification form since I don't have an NAC license and now the nerves have really kicked in!
