PHSC 2017 Fall Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I have decided to create a new thread for the ones that are going to apply to the ASN program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hopefully we can share information and give some emotional support to each other :)

I was reading in the previous thread about their score system that works based on TEAS score + GPA + County residency.

My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and I am in county resident.

I haven't take my TEAS test yet, but will post the results as soon as I have it and hopefully I will have some chance!

Is there anyone in the same boat?

Any waitlisters hear back yet? I have not. Anyone know when we should know by?

I was wondering the same thing. I know the initial wave of those that were accepted had until June 5th to respond. So I would assume this week maybe? Hopefully? Lol

Yes! I got an email last night that I was offered a seat! Also, my friend got an email this morning that he had a seat!

Thanks so much!!! Gives those of us still on waitlist a gist of what's going on! Congrats again!!!

Now they are e-mailing instead of snail mailing? Was it you PHSC email? They confuse me! lol

It was sent to the email I provided on my application. The official letter will follow in the mail. Maybe because the waitlist students have less time to get everything together so they're sending acceptance letters this way?

Hi! Has anyone done the LPN program? I am seriously considering last minute applying. It only takes a year to complete? Afterwards how long will it take to become a RN? At this rate it's gonna take me around 7 years for this bachelor degree sigh

I did my LPN at Pinellas Technical College. Easy to get into, good program.

After graduating HS I was considering doing that right away, really wish I did. Just spent the last 3 years getting my AA and finishing all the nursing prereqs for a BSN & I am likely getting denied everywhere I applied for this fall! So indecisive about what I should do now.

That was me. Finished high school, went to SPC, got my AA, applied to RN, waitlisted. Went to PTC, got LPN, apply to bridge, waitlisted. I'm starting a new school in two weeks.

Is anyone else here applying for the LPN program? I have a 76 teas score - out of county. I had been waitlisted for the RN program and am not expecting to be offered a seat. I have read online class is mon - thurs 3-10pm and every other weekend. Seems crazy to have classes 6 days a week every other week?! Also wondering if there's anyone else here who has completed the program and could possibly tell me more about it :)
