National University Cohort 53

Hello, my name is Ashley and I have recently applied to the nursing program at NU, cohort 53. I am wondering what are the past cut off points to evaluate my likelihood of being accepted, does anyone know ? Also, here is where is stand, TEAS 84% with 3.25 GPA (low I know) and waiting to take the essay portion. I would love to hear some feedback!

I would recommend reading on the last Cohort 52. I believe their cut off is 86.9 and cohort 51 is around 83.

Hello there. I applied for the last cohort and was denied. My scores were, Teas 84%, GPA 3.147, and my essay 2.5. Honestly I was really surprised by the score on my essay because every paper I have written in my classes so far at National have been 90% and above. I know what I need to work on for the next one. I was informed that if my essay was at a 4.5 I would have been an alternate. I will be working on some practice essays to better prepare this next time around.

Wow, sorry to hear that you were not accepted that time around, I hope you get into this next cohort. The 4.5 on the essay would give you around 83.07 points in total. And the cutoff was 86 is what I was reading? I just feel like those numbers are off by a lot (in the nursing application world). I usually am a great writer as well but that now makes me nervous to hear someone with a strong background not do as well as expected. I do wish you good luck with the nursing application and maybe we will meet soon! Fingers crossed. We are practically in the same boat with the point system.

Hey Lulu! I was denied for cohort 52 as well. :( I am in the same boat you are my GPA is 3.14, my teas was 79.3% and my essay was a 3.62. ugh!!! I hope I do better this time around! Good luck to you!!

Hey all. I'm starting to get prepared for the essay question portion and am praying that I'll be able to do a little better on the TEAS. Courtney I have a 3.174 (I got one C in Micro) and currently a 84% on my TEAS. My essay date is the 15th as well. Only a couple weeks left then the waiting game starts. How is everyone preparing?

I've been using pocket prep, mometrix, and just finished one of the practice exams on ATI. I currently have a 3.71 gpa, I'm just hoping I score high on the TEAS and essay!
