LoneStar Spring 2018 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just applied to the Lonestar Cyfair ADN nursing program for the Spring of 2018. I haven't seen anything on here about hopefuls for Spring 2018, anyone else apply?

Has anyone had success at contacting the CyFair location nursing Dept.?

I submitted my application, and received an email from Hagele saying my FERPA form was outdated... so i re uploaded it. Hit submit again.

But I have yet to get a confirmation email or email back from her stating they received the new form....

Can anyone help me with this??

Thanks

I applied to San Jac Central, LSC- Kingwood and Cyfair 7.408 score all these schools are about 30-40 mins drive from my place.

Deadline pushed back to 9/22?

So we probably wont know anything til mid October :(

Hey everyone. I was at a 7.4 and I just retook my HESI on Friday and got a 94.8 which bumped my score up to a 7.76. My first pick is Cyfair. I would rather go to Montgomery but I don't want to wait another semester to apply. Does anyone know how many applicants they accept? Also does anyone know when we are suppose to hear if we got accepted or not? I'm having a hard time getting in contact with the nursing department.

I guess so. This is killing me, I applied way back on July 10th so I've been impatiently waiting forever. I don't know what to do with myself, this is all I can think about. How do y'all cope?

I know the wait is ridiculous!!!!

Lets pass the time...

What is everyone work background? Families how do they feel about you going into the program?? And do ya'll plan on working while in the program??

I have worked as a CNA, and also as a teacher's assistant. I am a married mother of 3, and my family is as excited as I am about going into the program. I don't know if I will work if I am admitted to the program. We are still talking about our options, and I am even considering going the LVN route if I can to be able to work while getting my BSN.

I work in accounting, and I am a mother of 2. I will have to quit working once accepted so I can focus on school. We are in the process of selling our house to have enough saved for when our income is cut in half. My family is very supportive, and that makes all the sacrifices a little less bad. Maybe I will try to get a part time job my second semester of nursing school, if I feel confident enough.. we shall see.

I emailed the cyfair nursing dept. asking when acceptance emails would be sent out, and the response was "within a few weeks". I am so tired of waiting, I need to make huge life altering changes to be in the program, and I just need to know..

I feel the same way. I understand the storm altered a lot of things, but I think most people had their apps in. We should have some idea of when we will find out. I'm losing my mind over here. I check my email about 5 times a day, and all I get is the it takes two to four weeks stuff.

Agreed

I think with the campus and nursing department flooded out, it's going to take a lot longer. The current students in the nursing program are having to go to a different campus completely, so I'm sure they are scrambling trying to figure out how to still accommodate them and us, and figure out the schedules, rotations, etc. I'm trying super super hard to be patient too- but some of the current nursing students posted pictures of the nursing department after the flood, and it is demolished :( So I don't blame them for taking longer- they've had to relocate even their offices, it's been crazy. But like others, I have to make huge life-altering decisions too- so I'm getting anxious as well! LOL
