HI- I am about to start nursing school in a couple weeks! What planners did you use and/or like the best? What are some other tools that you absolutely loved or saved your hide through nursing school? Please advise! Thank you so much!

I got my acceptance to Kingwood! But I will have to go to North Harris night program for at least the first semester because Kingwood's flooded out * but... that's okay! I'M IN!!!!! Wahoo!!!! Now for the slew of paperwork to do! LOL

I think with the campus and nursing department flooded out, it's going to take a lot longer. The current students in the nursing program are having to go to a different campus completely, so I'm sure they are scrambling trying to figure out how to still accommodate them and us, and figure out the schedules, rotations, etc. I'm trying super super hard to be patient too- but some of the current nursing students posted pictures of the nursing department after the flood, and it is demolished So I don't blame them for taking longer- they've had to relocate even their offices, it's been crazy. But like others, I have to make huge life-altering decisions too- so I'm getting anxious as well! LOL

I have not heard whether the semester we are applying for (January 2018) will be pushed back or not due to the floodings? Apparently parts of Kingwood campus will be closed until January. I don't know what this means for the current nursing programs and ours. Has anyone heard anything?

I was told 2nd or 3rd week of September, they email you through your lonestar email account. So keep an eye on that one. :)

Dumb question- on the FERPA form, they already have X marked on other "Date of Birth, Social Security Number and Medical Records" asd well as X marked on the second "other" "clinical affilate agencies to ensure my safety and the safety of my patients." Do we just leave it at that? Or do we need to mark anything else? I'm assuming no- but you know what they say about assuming things! LOL

What do you do?

I was told high school diploma or transcript. I didn't see anywhere that CPR was required, but I could be wrong

What jobs can you do while going to nursing g school?

I'm starting the application, my number 1 pick is Kingwood at this point. I still have to upload all the forms and do the Titers for HepB.
