LoneStar Spring 2018 ADN

I just applied to the Lonestar Cyfair ADN nursing program for the Spring of 2018. I haven't seen anything on here about hopefuls for Spring 2018, anyone else apply?

I think your chances are extremely high! We might be in the program together! :) I am also having some worries (financially mainly), but I also believe it can be done.

I hope so! I'm still nervous about getting accepted. My original goal was to start fall 2017 but had to redo my HESI due to failing one section by 3 points í ½í¸‘ BUT using this time to work on some pre-reqs for BSN. So, still worked out. í ½í¸

Guys,

It seems application deadline was changed to Sept. 22. And HESI deadline is Sept. 15. I'm assuming it's because of Hurricane Harvey.

This waiting has me nervous and anxious! Good luck everyone!

Where did you see that about the deadline extension? I can't find anything about it anywhere.

No problem! Yea, I saw that but probably towards the end of September after the deadline. I applied when it was first available so I've been waiting a long time lol

They extended the deadline because there were people that was scheduled to take the Hesi this week, but since Lonestar was closed due to weather they are letting us take it next week!

what materials did you use to study for the grammar section besides the book? The book doesn't really give a lot of examples.

I just studied from the pocket prep app, but honestly, the grammar section was pretty much common sense, mainly what you already learned in middle/high school. Just say the sentence out loud in your head and choose what sounds correct. I would just be worried about vocabulary, that was the toughest in my opinion..

I used websites to study. I never bought a studying book.

I have not heard whether the semester we are applying for (January 2018) will be pushed back or not due to the floodings? Apparently parts of Kingwood campus will be closed until January. I don't know what this means for the current nursing programs and ours. Has anyone heard anything?
