Absolutely! Same goes for you, let me know if you hear anything. You've all been so kind and helpful. I hope we all get into the cohort :)

I am in Baltimore -- hometown of Johns Hopkins! I came home last summer after commencement to tackle the rest of my nursing prerequisites. Congrats on your spot on the waitlist! Keep us all posted.

That's awesome! Baltimore seems like such a cool city. I will definitely keep you posted :)

After some thinking, I've decided to go elsewhere. I've already submitted my deposit back in December, but I emailed them just now after hearing of an acceptance to a different school. This has been SUCH a hard decision for me, but I wish everyone the best of luck. JHU is an incredible school, and it makes me sad I won't be attending. Good luck to everyone, and hopefully some spots on the waitlist will open up. (I've read in the FB group of a few others in a similar situation). Congrats everyone!!!! :)

Anyone know anything about how they rank the wait list? I was wait listed as well!

I found this on the SON page, its all the info I could seem to find in regards to admission and wait list :(

Thank you! It's a bummer they won't disclose where you are on the waitlist.

I submitted my deposit in January but just recently decided to defer until the fall 2019 cohort. I have to finish up my current master's degree and I will need a little bit longer to finalize some of my graduation requirements. Good luck to those of you on the waitlist!!

i just declined my admissions offer. i hope this opens a spot for a waitlisted applicant! best of luck

And I decided for sure that I will be coming to Hopkins!

Hopefully someone can help me out. I have a bachelors in political science and have been an enlisted corpsman in the military for several years now working in preventive medicine. My undergrad GPA is 3.1 and my pre-req GPA is 3.6. I haven't taken the GRE yet but I'm nervous I may need to retake the micro class to get my B up to an A. What do you all think? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Corpsmanup,

JHU no longer requires the GRE and I had a B+ in Micro and was accepted. My undergrad GPA was higher but your medical experience is without a question more extensive than mine. There is so much they consider. I would say go for it.

A JHUSON advisor told me never to bother with retaking a course to bump it from a B to an A. They will really value your experience, so let that ring true in your essays and resume. There is no page limit on your resume and they told me to utilize this opportunity to "tell your story" by describing your professional roles and adding any special projects you may have done. The advisors are often willing to review your materials in advance and give you advice on how to strengthen them. I took advantage of this, had my transcripts, resume and essays reviewed by an admissions officer before submitting my app! I am currently waitlisted for Fall.

I hope this helps!
