Hi All-

Any tips on the 2 essays required for the application? I can't find the details of what each should be about? Any suggestions?

Hi, what they want you to write about should be on the nursecas site, but I can check once I have my laptop.

As I remember, they gave us three essay prompts, and you had to do two. One (the mandatory one) was about why you want to enter nursing/become a nurse. The other two (you could choose between them): 1) give an example of how you used critical thinking to solve a problem or 2) talk about how you responded in a situation that challenged your own values and cultural framework. Something like that. They should be listed on the NursingCAS site.

Anyone know the policy for waitlisted candidates who are accepted and want to defer/postpone enrollment by a year? Is that possible?

I would assume that it would be that same as any accepted student, that you would be able to defer till next year but im not completely sure. you should try calling the admissions and ask. did you already hear back about acceptances from the waitlist?

Hello, folks. I will try to catch up on all posts after exams (so end of next week at soonest), but I am a current JHU Cohort 6 student perusing the forums. My name is Olutope O.and I am happy to take personal messages on LinkedIn unless someone is able to explain how to do it on this forum. I'm curious too... has anyone else from the waitlist heard back?

I haven't heard back yet either

Hey all! I have been watching this thread for a bit and finally decided to post, because I saw that people were talking about waitlist. I accepted my spot on the waitlist about a month and a half ago. I called admissions today and was told that they haven't sent out anything about open spots on the waitlist yet. The woman I spoke to said thay they're hoping to send out waitlist notifications mid-May.

Thank you for letting us know!!

Hey guys,

For the people on the waitlist, I sent an email to admissions last night about waitlist decisions and got a response this morning stating that they are anticipating decisions to be released in June, unfortunately.

Good Luck everyone in Fall 2018!
