JHU Fall 2018 MSN Entry into Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has there been a thread created for Johns Hopkins Fall 2018 MSN Entry into Nursing program? is there anyone applying to this program??

Thanks!

Questions for the forum:

For those of your who completed your CastleBranch requirements, specifically the Pre-Entrance Health Form, does anyone know if an RN can complete the form? The language is conflicting (physician verification vs. licensed health care professional vs. health care professional). . . thus my asking.

Second question: Is the lab titer report (for MMR) required if all immunizations have been given appropriately?

Any and all insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey BJTee,

First off, breathe. The whole application process can be an emotional roller-coaster for sure, but it is all doable and you will succeed. Don't worry too much about other peoples' stats in terms of GPA or experience, cliche as it might sound your biggest competition is yourself here. Work hard to get the best possible grades and try to rack up some direct patient care experience, either volunteering in a hospital or working as a CNA or EMT. The more hands on experience you can get, the better.

You also have quite the list of schools. I would try to cut it down a bit more. Figure out what in a program really matters to you, is it research opportunities? International/global health? Community outreach? Clinical hours? Dig deep and figure out what matters most to you in terms of educational opportunities then apply accordingly. Many schools no longer require the GRE so think long and hard before you dedicate your time, energy, and money to sitting for the exam. That is time and energy that could be spent on personal statements or volunteer/work hours.

If you want to share the experiences/stats you have thus far and get input on how to take the next steps to bolster your CV, don't hesitate to reach out and I would readily provide further insights and advice.

Thank you Olutope

Has anyone rented at 929 apartments? currently? In the past?

Any feedback on the experience?
