This thread is dead! I am currently in the RN-BSN program. If anyone has any questions, I would be glad to answer them!

I did take stats and it was hard! I am not a math person at all and struggle with math anxiety. I didn't like the format of online learning for stats but it is what it is. I used the Khan Academy tutorials (they are what you learn from) and they were pretty helpful. I also had to use youtube on occasion. IMO, that is not how stats should be taught. My advice is ask questions often if you are struggling. You can utilize a tutor, too. If you have someone in your real life that understands stats then ask for help. I'm not saying any of this to scare you guys and I did get an A in the class...I just feel like it is a difficult format for learning this material. Good luck to you all!!!

What is the format for homework and tests? Weekly? Is there one large exam at the end? others have said the tests are based on the homework. Sounds like you don't lose the homework and keep it for future reference.

hallo, I thought maybe you could help me with a class I am having a hard time with. I am currently taking family centered health promotion class and am having a hard time writing the paper on"review of literature" which is about the levels of health promotion. any tips?

I'm currently writing the same paper and having loads of fun..NOT! I don't know what is is about this paper, but it is a tough one. Did you research the library for your three levels of health promotion? I'm having a difficult time finding information on step #4. All I can say is keep reading and looking. I wish I could be of more help. :(

I am considering switching to GCU but can not find anyone who can tell me what weekly assignments there are like. My current program is around 3000 word paper per week with a quiz weekly and 2 discussions postings weekly with min of 500 words and references.

I'm curious where you are going now?

Papers start out at 750-1000 words and toward the end the student is up to 2000 word papers. There are no quizzes, just lots of papers, a group project, and a power point. We have the same with 2 DQ a week and one must respond to two people for 3 days for a total of 6 responses. One does need references and the DQ must be at least 2 paragraphs.
