I just applied to the online program starting the end of this month (October). Tuition is $395 but Banner employees get 20% off that so it's $316/credit hour.
I applied for financial aid to pay for the classes upfront and then i will turn in my grades for reimbursement and pay my loan off as i go...

Is there anyone out there that has been through the online program? I heard it is pretty intense. One of my fellow RN's at work dropped it because she said you have to jump through hoops all the time. I went to school at Glendale Community College so i think i have the hoop jumping experience down
Wow that's great...St Joes only gives us 10% off but they do direct bill so it still works for me. Don't worry about the intensity. I just take one class at a time and it works out fine. Takes a bit longer but easier to work into your life that way. If you need any help when you get going just PM me. I have finished 10 of 15 classes. I think the new program is shorter now than when I started. I don't find you have to jump through hoops at all once you get past the administration issues. I sent in my transcripts and after taking my first class they said they didn't get official ones since my enrollment counselor (who no longer was working there by that time) opened them ....how is that my fault...and then had to provide new ones. I went to 4 colleges since I took pre-reqs at various colleges so was annoyed to have to go through that all over again...ARGH...but since then have really enjoyed the program. The instructors are great!!!! I am also involved with a few committees at work and have two school aged children so have to pace myself through the program and am looking forward to finishing in 2009.

Hi! I am starting at the end of October also. I am just now graduating from my ADN program and decided to start the BSN right away. Do you know anyone who is doing the program with you? I can't get anyone in my class to start with me so I'm kinda flying solo. If you want, you can e-mail me and that way we would know someone in the program.

I graduate May 02, 2009 from GCU's Fast-track with St. Joes. I would be more than happy to answer any questions people have about the program. I am also an extern at Joes, if you are interested in info on that as well.

I wrote a pretty long post here about GCU (for people thinking about applying)

no. 34 missbehavin i'm not sure how this works with personal e-mails but, i have tons of questions to asked. i've applied for the fast-track at gcu, i'm a active duty air force member, so money isn't a concern for me. what is a concern is i'm a b average student. i already have a degree from wayland baptist. so i've already have all my old and new test classes. i'm coming into this program with 2 c's. how is the work there? did you feel ready for the nclex test. how many student's pass the test the first time?

You said you were in the fast track program at Grand Canyon University, and I was just wondering how competitive it was for people to get into the program. GPA requirements? Most importantly, how was the program? What was most difficult?
