Ashland University ABSN Summer 2018

Hey guys!

I was recently accepted to the Ashland University ABSN program in Ohio for their summer 2018 cohort. I've found about everything there is to find on the website (lol) but I'm wondering if anyone has any personal experiences or opinions about the school? I'd also love to hear from any recently accepted or future students. Any information would be greatly appreciated! See y'all this summer!!

Hi @amimu! I was accepted for Fall 2018 as well. Do you know of anyone who have completed the ABSN program at Ashland?

Sadly, no :( I've been looking at people's LinkedIns and just joined the Ashland ABSN facebook group but that's about all I was really able to find out. I asked my boyfriend to ask his professor (who lives in Ohio) about the program but he forgot today -_- so I'll let you know what he says!

According to the advisor I am! I paid my deposit a few days ago and filled out a housing application. My advisor just emailed me yesterday with my summer class schedule! I'm excited/nervous all at the same time! Do you know of any recommended off campus apartments to live at? I'm going to live on campus for the summer just until I become familiar with the area.

Yay, that's so exciting! I'm actually coming from Oregon so I'm probably not the best person to ask ahaha, but it looks like people recommended Lakeside and Cedarwood on the facebook page!

Do you know if there's anything that we should be getting ahead of time? Like shoes or a stethoscope? I'd rather get them while I'm still sales-tax free. :)

Lol no worries! I was actually trying to find the facebook page, and I found one that we can "like" but not one that I have to request access to. What did you search to find it? Also, I was wondering the same thing as far as supplies! I haven't received anything from the school saying that we need to buy anything before hand.

It's the "Ashland University Accelerated Nursing Program" group! I think there's also one for the summer 2018 cohort but not sure if it's that they're graduating summer 2018 or starting. Yeah, I only started thinking about it because some people asked for shoe recommendations on the facebook page, specifically for white and leather ones so I thought it must have been required.

I finally found it, thank you! I couldn't find the one for summer 2018, but I did find one for August 2018 as well as the overall accelerated nursing program.

Lol I felt a little silly, but I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one wondering!! Have you gotten all of your stuff yet?
