Ashland University ABSN Summer 2018

Published

Hey guys!

I was recently accepted to the Ashland University ABSN program in Ohio for their summer 2018 cohort. I've found about everything there is to find on the website (lol) but I'm wondering if anyone has any personal experiences or opinions about the school? I'd also love to hear from any recently accepted or future students. Any information would be greatly appreciated! See y'all this summer!!

Ahaha no I haven't yet! Still waiting on a welcome packet or something so I know a little better what I need to get!

Email the heck out of them! They forgot to send me one, I found out through Facebook that they send out some stuff, I emailed and called and they sent me everything a little later. But if you scroll through the website, you can find most of the shots and other stuff required.

Okay, I'll do that, thanks for the heads up! And I totally forgot about shots and stuff, at least it only looks like I'll have to do a newer TB test and a physical!

Well you still have some time, but I had some difficulty hunting them down because they wanted the specific antibody count in addition to the pos/neg result if it was a titer. The rest weren't too bad though, just need it to be an official document. We just officially got our clinical groups/schedules, they'll get everything out to you as they get caught up

Whoa that's awesome!! How many people are in your group? Thanks for the advice, I'll have to schedule my appointment soon then!

We have 4 groups of 7-8 each with clinical days being either Wednesday or Thursday. I'm prerty sure they just randomly assigned us in the groups too.

That's so exciting!! Can't believe summer cohort is starting in little more than three weeks.

I know this is an older thread but I'm coming from Oregon as well Aug 2018 start date. I've requested to be in the Facebook page (both cohort specific and general) over a week ago and haven't been approved to join the group yet. Was there anything you bought tax free that helped you out? Do you have any recommendations on apartments?

Thanks!

I actually just decided to live on campus out of convenience. It's pretty nice too! All of my room/suite mates are pretty cool and they even have a roommate buyout option to where you can live in a double bedroom apt by yourself and the person in the other room does the same (so it's a total of 2 ppl with a private bathroom each). So I'm not too sure on the places to live other than here, but from what I've heard, anywhere around here isn't too bad. Also, I just bought everything here because I flew in from Tx.

Hello! so i have been accepted into the Spring 2019 cohort and was wondering how much the on campus dorms are? I know there is a buyout option and would like to know about how much that would be. Thank you!

Hello!

I have been accepted to Ashland University ABSN program August 2019. I was reading your posts and saw you guys started last year I just wanted to know your thoughts about the program? I haven't visited but I've talked to a lot of the staff over the phone and they are all very nice and helpful and they have great NCLEX scores so they must be doing something right. But I wanted to see how you guys liked the program, would be super helpful!!
