APU ELM Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if any other aspiring future nurses out there are applying to Azusa Pacific's Entry-Level Masters program for spring 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and it would be awesome to chat with others who are in the same boat. I've been an avid reader on this site for a very long time and this is my first post.

Hello ya'll Im joining in on this group chat because I too applied for the IE campus for the ELM program. I haven't heard anything back about any interview, but I did submit my application a few days before the deadline.

Good luck to you!

yes same! i hope we both hear back soon (: keep me posted @knavas!

Hello guys. Just had my interview at the SD campus. My interviewer said that they will start meeting up for decisions the beginning of May and letters will be sent out middle to end of May. I'm assuming this is just for the SD campus. Not entirely sure. But I hope that helps. Good luck everyone!

Has anyone that applied to the main campus heard back? I noticed everyone that has heard back applied to the SD or IE campus but wanted to see if any main campus applicants heard anything...anxiously waiting :/

I applied to main campus and haven't heard anything either =\

I had my interview at the main campus a few weeks ago. Now I'm just waiting until May for the decision. If they are still doing interviews until the end of April, I'm thinking you all have some time still. Praying that they call you soon! I know the waiting is super hard.

Hello I commented for on this board 2 weeks ago. I just got a confirmed interview date for next week at the IE campus! Much luck to all and good vibes your way! Also those who have interviewed any tips to keep in mind? I'd highly appreciated it

Hi KNgirl. I also applied for the IE campus around the deadline date and haven't heard back yet. I was just wondering when you applied. Good luck on your interview!!

I think I applied 3 or 4 day before the deadline. I suggest calling APU about the status of your application(: Best wishes

Hello Everyone,

I am looking to apply for summer 2018 and had a few questions regarding requirements stats for acceptance, but heres a quick summary of where Im at which might help with answering the questions I have. I finish my B.A. in 2013 with 3.2, but received all A's on the science pre reqs which I just finished. I found out I wanted to be a Psych NP my senior year of college, but by then it was to late to switch majors and due to family issues I had to enter the work force to help my family financially. Good news is I'm debt free now and have been trying to do everything in my power to finally go to school to become a psych NP and finish my dream. I haven't worked in a related field and have only been volunteering at a hospital for 4 months, but I have two strong letters of recommendation one from a professor another from NP from the hospital I volunteer at. So basically I'm wondering is this enough or should I hold off till fall 2018 and try adding more volunteer or work experience in my resume? and if so what would you recommend? For any of those who have already been accepted could you please share some of your stats like GPA, volunteer experience, work experience, or any other extracurricular that you feel helped you get in?

Thank you!! and sorry for the long post.

congrats on making the leap! I'm in a similar boat as you in terms of GPA and Limited experience. I would appreciate any advice you get as well. Good luck to you! Maybe we'll be classmates one day.

Has anyone heard back from the azusa site to schedule an interview?
