APU ELM Spring 2018

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if any other aspiring future nurses out there are applying to Azusa Pacific's Entry-Level Masters program for spring 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and it would be awesome to chat with others who are in the same boat. I've been an avid reader on this site for a very long time and this is my first post.

I emailed Sara who advised they are still reviewing applications and you will be contacted IF you are selected. So much for everyone gets an interview as long as your application is submitted within a timely manner. I completed my application on 2/8 and haven't heard about an interview

Can you give more insight on the different categories for the point system and how it works?

I don't know the details and there's a previous thread where someone gave out the exact point values for each. Look for that if you can! But from what I can remember there's GPA, military, international experience, community involvement, interview, in-person essay.

Hi all! and @mellie123 I am in the same boat as you! I applied for Spring 2018 and waiting to hear back with fingers crossed! I also applied to Main. I did reach out to Sara and she stated the program is still reviewing applications. So, there is a chance! Any word yet?

Still no word :( I think this week is the last week to interview. Sara said there are some cases where people don't go through the interview but can still get accepted (I think that's what she meant), but from other people's forums, the interview and writing part is part of the point system, so I don't see how her statement could be valid. Ah, oh well.

I know someone mentioned that admissions committee was meeting on May 1. If anyone hears back about acceptance/rejection, do you mind letting us know on this forum so we know when to anticipate hearing something? Thanks!

accepted for Spring of 2018 ! not my first option, but hopefully i can get bumped up. San diego campus :)

Hey guys! I received an email this morning saying "we have updated your APU network account to reflect your status as an APU student." A few hours later I got a call from the San Diego Campus saying I had been admitted for Spring 2018. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

sorry i meant summer!! they bumped me up! but its ok :) hopefully I can still get a seat for the spring start date!
