APU ELM Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if any other aspiring future nurses out there are applying to Azusa Pacific's Entry-Level Masters program for spring 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and it would be awesome to chat with others who are in the same boat. I've been an avid reader on this site for a very long time and this is my first post.

Hi all,

I turned my application in pretty last minute, I don't think it was complete with all my letters of recommendation until February 28th. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call today, March 3rd, to schedule an interview at the San Diego campus for later this month. Doesn't seem like it was too much of a problem submitting my application right before the deadline. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck everyone! Does anyone know if one campus is more competitive than the other? Won't be applying until next cohort :( all these prerequisites are killing me lol

I probably the main campus but I think if you indicate on your application that you're open to attending multiple campuses, you have a greater chance of getting in.

Hey guys! I also applied for the Spring 2018 APU ELM for nursing. I applied to the one in San Diego because I wanted to stay local. I'm getting anxious because I know in the previous post someone mentioned that they got a call already for the SD campus and turned in their app right before the deadline. I had mine completed Feb 28th (due to my 3rd rec) and haven't heard anything. :(

Has anyone gotten a call back and scheduled an interview? Or even had their interview yet? Do you know if they only give interviews to those who turn their app early and don't give interviews to the last few because they're fully booked? I know on the website that it mentioned something like that. I keep telling myself to be patient, but it's very nerve wracking as all of you know. I hope I get a call soon. Good luck to you all!

Thank you!

mcparra91, I know how you feel about anxiously waiting. My application was not deemed completed officially until March 1st. I have not heard back from the school for an interview yet. However, I have looked at the Spring 2017 forum, and it seems that interviews run until mid April. I would try to keep yourself occupied and give them at least until the beginning of April to get back to you.

Hello everyone!

I came across this page and I am glad I did! I just applied to the San Bernardino campus and I too applied pretty late. This waiting game is torturous but I hope that we will all get interviews (:

Hello everyone,

This is my first time ever posting on one of these forums.

I turned in my application very last minute. I personally delivered my remaining recommendation forms and transcripts to the SD campus (the campus to which I'm applying) on Feb 28. I got a confirmation email of a complete application the next day, March 1, which was also the deadline. I then got a call for an interview 2 days later and will have my interview later this month.

So I don't think a last minute application was a factor. Or maybe it wasn't a factor for me because I'm applying to the SD campus which isn't as requested as the main campus? I don't know. Hope that helps some of you.

Hey everyone! I haven't heard anything back yet either...I submitted my application to the main campus in January but it wasn't complete until around Feb 20th because I was waiting on one more letter of rec. The waiting game is already killing me and it's only been a week since applications closed ha! Found this forum because I was looking to see if they contacted people for an interview and looks like they did! Good luck everyone!

Hi there! I have also applied for Spring 2018. I just had my pre-admission interview today. I interviewed with Rose. She was very welcoming. Exciting to see this journey unfold, hoping for the best!

Hi! I applied for spring 2018, and turned my app in by February 16 (I believe). I applied for the I.E. location. I had my pre admission interview today. I was contacted about a week ago to schedule the interview. I am not sure if earlier applicants get an interview over later applicants. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

I applied very last minute, i believe the day that it was due and was given an interview a couple of days later if that helps for the SD campus!
