Accepted to Salisbury ABSN Fall 2016, but need to tell them intent a week later??

Just got a letter that I was accepted for Salisbury Accelerated Second Degree Program for Fall 2016. Today is 01/29/16 and they want me to send back the letter telling them if I intend to attend or not by February 5, 2016?! I'm excited and happy that I got in, but I have a week to decide?

And I won't be hearing from my other schools for awhile (especially since UMSON was just due Feb. 1). Anyone else having this issue or heard of anything like this? Any advice would be great too? I know it's a great program, but I want to make an informed decision after I receive the rest of my acceptances/rejections from other schools. Thanks in advance!

I heard back super early from a program and while I had more than a week, I had not heard back from other programs by the time my deposit was due. I accepted the position, gave them a non-refundable deposit, and ended up losing that deposit when I decided on another school. It stinks, but I was also worth the peace of mind knowing I had a spot somewhere while waiting to hear back from other programs. So you can pay the deposit and forfeit it later if you decide on another program or take your chances and decline your spot.

I am in the same situation! I know this is past your Letter of Intent due date and I hope everything worked out for you. I got my SU acceptance letter December 22nd and they wanted the letter of intend back by Jan 29th, so I sent it back saying yes I intend to go, even though my first choice of schools would be UMSON. I was very surprised with the letter of intent that SU did not want a deposit, so I called (beginning of Feb.) and the head lady said that a 'seat fee' letter will be going out sometime but no indication of an exact time. After I got off the phone with SU, I called UMSON to ask when they think they would have their letters out by and they said April and you will have a decision no later than the end of April (I guess they do waves like SU). So I am totally in a pickle if the SU seat fee comes before the UMSON acceptance letters come out!
