Daughters are Andrea Nicole and Allison Linn ( we did spell that alittle different) and son is Zachary Ian I guess some people would think Ian a little different but we liked the sound of it....I do have a sister with the middle name Bobette so I guess that is weird. fathersname is Bob and since the said they weren't having anymore children wanted to get his name in there.. They ended up with 3 more 2 of them boys lol:eek:

:D Whew! I got out of breath just reading this post!

My paternal Grandmother insisted that my parents use the names "Lucy Kay" and "Effie Fay" After 3 daughters, none of whom were named either name, I was her last hope. My mom thankfully named me after her sister.

Rescued!!

My friend's Mom has a wonderful Southern name:

(Liza pronounced with a long i )

LizaMae Overly

You can't help but say it with a Southern accent !

Specializes in School Nursing, Ambulatory Care, etc..

:roll

Okay, have to throw in my two cents...

I had to talk my sister out of naming her first daughter Misty Summer

I went to school with a guy named Zane Zuniga (don't know if it's that strange, but will never forget it!)

My mother knew a girl in high school who was named after her father (James). He passed away before she was born so her mother named her Jamezina

I work in the parish hospital in Lafayette, LA for a while and my two favorite names were Sisterbelle (girl) and Sir (boy)

And last, but not least, my youngest son's birth name is Glenn, but we call him Moose. He's three and won't even answer to Glenn!

Great names! Some are very Southern!

Specializes in NICU, L&D, OB, Home Health, Management.

I'll never forget Zechariah Joseph _______.His last name was Polish (or Slovak) and had about 20 letters - mostly constanents. The crib card wouldn't hold it all. We figured he'd be in high school before he could spell it all.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I went to junior high with a girl named Tequila, know a girl now named Memory. Also, she doesn't have an unusual name, but I know a girl with initials TLC who is, coincidentally, a very caring, sweet person. And, I know the Corbin thing was a while back in the thread, but Corbin is also the name of a town in south-central KY!

I went to school with a Chastity Belt, Crystal Clear and a Theresa Green, all girls and a boy named Luke Warmwater

suddenly wendy doesnt seem so bad at all .....

lordy

I feel sorry for the Melena's of the world......

Went to college with Candy Cane. Local family with last name Green -- kids named Forrest & Kelly. Have a distant relative named Dorkus (I know it's a saint's name -- but it's so awlful.) I'm not loving it when babies are named after cities/states/countries -- example Taiwan, Paris, etc. God, I could have been named Connecticut or something. Of course, I'm Susan Mary (really sounds like a nun.) And some names are regional -- really do like the name Mason and if my childbearing days weren't over -- Grace would be the next girl.

Your school days sound REALLY uncomfortable !! :chuckle

What's up with people who give their child three or four middle names???

I'm all for namesakes, but come on!

I did hear of a name that I thought was kind of neat... her name was Easter.
