  1. GREAT news Donna, best wishes for your nursing future.
  2. Father of 3 girls aged 8,3.5 and 1. Caring full time for disabled wife, studying nursing full time externally and surviving on a $1400 p/m pension. It is by no means easy, but it is possible. Follow your dreams, it will be worth it :)
  3. At the end of the day it is at the discretion of the nursing board concerned. Obviously being INVOLUNTRY manslaughter works in your favour as opposed to manslaughter. Also consideration will be given to the time passed since the offense being over 10 years and also if you were not incarcerated. I wish you all the best in your endeavours.
  4. Speaking from the point of somebody whose wife suffered a Right CVA in 2000, attributed entirely to BCP, I would strongly advise against it. I would definitely be interested in what OB/GYN has to say on the matter.
  5. Hi Lisa, welcome to allnurses Wish you all the best with your endeavours into nursing, a truly rewarding career :)
  6. Thankyou mjlrn, it was very touching and certainly made me realise that all I go through everyday just seems so insignificant compared to our elderly and there sufferings. Shook me back into reality, Thankyou. Time to be thankful for the good things we have :)
  7. You and me both lol
  8. You and me both lol
  9. Studying nursing, whilst trying to support a wife and 3 daughters, on a pension which totals about $6000 less than our government deems is the poverty level. I don't recommend it, but hey we get by.
  10. Most of my friends are here at allnurses :)
  11. :roll You know your a nurse when the only conversation you have with your partner is on allnurses BB :roll
  12. What really annoys me on all this, is the way they can sweep it under the carpet as unsubstantiated. Surely any claim should be investigated in it's entirety. All such claims should result in either - substantiated...action taken or - cleared. There should not be question marks left hanging over somebody, you are either guilty or innocent, not "oh well there isn't enough evidence but we will keep it hanging over your head just in case" I hope for your sake, somebody gets off there butt and follows this through.

Please accept my appology.

  15. My wife was abused by her father up until the age of 12, The reason I have my wife present while I bath my daughters, is soley for her peace of mind. And as she is unable to bathe them herself, having her in there allows for some interaction which she would otherwise miss out on.
