I have no clue about OB nursing and looking for some opinions/explanations. My daughter-in-law is 14 weeks pregnant and has been bleeding for 4 days. She had a vaginal scan today and baby looks fine, moving about quite happily. She wasn't given an explanation as to why this bleeding should occur, just told her the baby looks fine. Is this something not so unusual? Not seeking a diagnosis or medical opinion, just a bit of reassurance that this can happen without there being any real cause for concern. It's my first grandbaby, maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily, they would have admitted her if baby was in trouble huh?
I'm glad to hear the bleeding appears to be slowing down.
I'm sending good thoughts for a healthy baby and an uneventful rest of her pregnancy.
has slowed way downMy daughter also had some bleeding around 14 weeks for no apparent reason. She was pretty throughly worked up and still the only thing the OB could say was that smetimes it just happens.
The only thing she could come up with was that her caffeine intake was way up in the 48 hours before it started (we had an unseasonably hot spell, she developed a craving for blended mochas and didn't think to ask for decaf).
