Interview Presentation! Eeek!!

So I have an interview next week for my dream job, but I have to give a ten minute presentation about the role I am applying for. I've never done a presentation for an interview before, so I'm not sure on a few things. Firstly, will it be presumed I will use PowerPoint to deliver the presentation when I get there? I don't want to ring and ask them if it's a silly question and sound like a fool before I even show up!

And is it likely I will then have to answer the typical "interview questions" too, such as why I've applied, what can I offer, scenarios, etc, or is my presentation supposed to convince them by itself?

Thanks in advance!

It's quite common in the UK for more senior nurse posts to have to do a presentation at interview. The job is a junior ward sister level post on a medical assessment unit

There is a dedicated UK nursing forum on allnurses. There are quite a few threads regarding band presentations (most common band 6).

Never presume.... you could do the interview as a power-point but also as a talk and print off the power-point presentation and have a few copies and give then to the interviewers

What Silverdragon said. It is also likely you will be questioned about your presentation. And.... just because they can, they will also ask the usual interview questions.

Prepare, prepare and then prepare some more. If it is as you say "your dream job" then you know the answers to the questions.

Good luck.
