Many. You might want to be more specific in your query

How are you studying now? What have you done that works/doesn't work? You will learn that everyone studies differently. What worked for me may not work for you.

First find out what type of studying works for you. Look up VARK quiz.

It's impossible to read the whole book. You have to read the most important parts which were stressed in class. Go over the questions that came with the book because sometimes teachers will pull from those questions. Review your notes from class and ask the teacher to clarify things that weren't clear. Ask your professor for areas to focus study on. Also, you must must have a supplemental NCLEX study book. The Reviews and Rationales books and the Saunders NCLEX books helped me a ton. It's a good idea to set aside an hour or two each day for study time. Turn off your phone and computer (unless using it to study). Make sure you have a quiet learning environment, such as the library. Flashcards work for meds and other things. If you hand write them and use colored markers, you will remember them better.

My classmates and I actually went over questions during our study groups and would give our rationale on why we think our answer is right and talking things out would help us. It all depends on how you study. The Saunders comprehensive NCLEX book is super helpful. Putting concept into questions always help me. Good luck

I had two other girls I studied with and we did this as well. It helps you see a different view of things.

I have to disagree with not reading the whole book. If you're not trying to read it the night before class you should be able to read most of it. Just read smarter. Here's some good tips.

But for my harder classes I read the whole chapter. Usually 2-3 times. Once before class, Once after and then skim while making note cards.

And if you're only studying for an hour or two per day, that is a big problem. I outline the chapters using the learning objectives at the start of the chapter along with my professor's powerpoints.

If you do this you will have formatted notes to study from when you get to tests and the finaly. No prep=more time to review.
