What's the BEST nursing shoes?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

12 hour shifts! OMG!! All that walking, standing, and sometimes running! I've had Crocs, Regular tennis shoes, Merrell running shoes... the list goes on!!! But what is the BEST nursing shoes to have out there? I've heard nurses talk about "Dancecoes". They look so uncomfortable... Hmm... What are your thoughts?? Experiences??

Clog shoes are not meant to fit your feet snuggly. Your heel should move freely when you walk, the cup at the back should not be touching your foot when your foot is up. Dansko prob has info on their website.

After dansko had a patent issue with their sole maker sanita, they choose another company and now the shoes are made in china. Sanita has been making clogs for 100 years in europe. You can always check out reviews for all clogs and shoes on zappos.

Good luck. I have yet to find my perfect shoe! Unless I can wear my merrill sandals to work. ..which I have and wore or Booties over them! Best feet feeling after work ever!!!

I personally love the Dansko brand. Every other brand/shoe I tried, has given me soooo much leg and foot pain, it was riduculous. I also had a foot injury I never took care of and this shoe always gives me comfort.

I have had many pairs of shoes over the years and have been wearing Birkenstocks for the last few. I absolutely love them. I have flat feet and a bunion starting on one foot. Wearing birkenstocks has eliminated any pain I felt before. I now have Birkenstock, London.

I'm not a nurse yet, but I'm an OR tech and I wear Dansko Pro XP. The Pro XP's are by far way more comfortable than the regular Dansko shoes, to me. I tried the regular Dansko shoes but couldn't handle the break-in period.

Brooks! That's the best shoe I've ever had have a wider foot and a size nine I feel like I'm walking on pillows I paid a pretty penny but I'm not upset over!!!

Where is the best place to go to buy nursing shoes in Phoenix AZ. This way I can try them on.

If there's a Uniform Advantage near you, you can try there. They sell many different brands of nursing shoes.

I just looked, there is not a uniform advantage in my state  Any other places/suggestions?

I have a pair of white Koi by Sanita nursing clogs and I really like them. I would go through tennis shoes so quickly because of the amount of walking I do. On top of that, my feet would ache because the tennis shoes did not give me the support I needed. Ever since I bought my nursing clogs, I have had happy, happy, happy feet! :-) So worth the $130!

I absolutely love Dansko. My whole team swears by them and they have so many colorful options. I can actually wear some of mine outside of work so I feel like I get more use for the money.

I swear by Reebok princess sneakers. The leather is soft enough to mold to your foot, so one's toes don't get squished and calloused (or maybe that is just mine HAHA) You can wear an insole in them as well. Great for running around for 12 hour shifts!

For me, Nike running shoes. Love them.
