Hello Everyone!

It has come that time of the year where I need to revamp my work attire and I have purchased all of my new uniforms from Healing Hands Purple Label (junior fit), which I absolutely love but I am at a complete loss about which shoes to get.

I am usually a tennis shoe girl; my present shoe is the Nike Dual Fusion walking shoe which has never given me any issues. I love them as far as walking, standing, and those few times where I must run; but it's time for something new but what I have found is it's hard to find a good shoe that is actually safe to work in because most shoes are too meshy. What tennis shoe do you recommend?

Clogs are not a favorite of mine. They look good and the seem to be ideal for the environment but after some extensive research I have found that if you don't have foot problems and because clogs don't mask the natural movement of your foot then long term wear can actually be bad for your foot, especially when you switch over to shoes that aren't clogs. What have been your experiences?

Thanks for you help!!!

I don't find tennis shoes to have the support I need over a long shift so I stuck with clogs. On that note i initially bought danskos but they would dig into the top of my foot which is when I turned to sneakers and realized the no support thing as well. Now I have Klogs brand clogs..they have elastic that provides some give..100% comfortable! Would definitely recommend these if you decide to give clogs a try again

I always wondered about Klogs. Have you ever tried Alegria?...the fact that most Danskos require a break in period was definitely the most unappealing to me.

Crocs (non-vented clogs)! Everyone hates them but they are one of very few shoes that keep my legs/knees/feet from aching :)

ALEGRIA! i cant say enough about how great they are to these almost 66yr old bones and joints ;)

I wear Skechers :) currently have Flex but am looking into Go Walks. I'm a CNA, not a nurse, but based off the Flex I would recommend Skechers to anyone. They're very comfortable, light and never hurt my feet whether I'm wearing them for 8, 12, or 16 hours and I'm on my feet all day. Not sure about the mesh, however.

I wear Dansko mostly. But when my feet began hurting, I switched to allegria with the wide insert.

I'm not sure why my feet began hurting after wearing dansko for about 2 yrs. it may be because I gained weight and my shoe size increased, it may be because I'd recently switched to patent leather danskos, which have less give.

I added a pair of Allegrias to my shoe rotation, as well as began wearing thinner compression socks, and everything had been fine.

I also rotate nike cross trainers into my work foot wear. I have sensitive and sweaty, wide feet. I find that rotAting shoes works best for me.

I love my Allegrias!

I love my Danskos but they had a break in about a month.
