Scrubs - what do you wear?

Alright, it's laundry time in my house and all of my scrubs are gathered together. I'm realizing that I have at least 4 butterfly scrub tops and barely any plain solid tops. I'm a bubbly person and love it when my scrubs bring a smile to a patient's face (I'm in psych, so that's not always easy) and I was just wondering about what everyone else wears. Sometimes when I'm down to the last pair of scrubs, I'll wear a set of hospital issued scrubs, but I think it can sometimes remind patients that I'm a person too, not just a medication dispenser with a set of questions to ask and notes to chart.

Any other birds of a feather out there?

I love prints - they are mostly all floral-y, but I do have some with butterflies. I also have a breast cancer scrub top. I occasionally like solids.

Come January, though, we are switching to all solid colors...RNs get to wear Galaxy Blue. I'm happy with that choice.

I was a vet tech for years before becoming a nurse, and worked as a CNA while in nursing school. I always wore colorful pants and bright print tops, and people loved them.

When I became an RN, I wanted to be professional, and bought all solid scrubs, mostly in muted colors. I looked professional, but it was kind of boring. Bought some solid scrubs in bright colors, and got tons of compliments, from patients and staff.

Finally broke down and bought a few print tops, mostly in graphic prints like paisley or swirls (no cartoon characters or anything cutesy). Got TONS of compliments, and realized that I liked wearing the print tops more. My patients seemed to appreciate it, even in the CCU.

Now I'm a junkie for Koi scrubs. I have a variety of styles of their tops in cool prints, and love their Lindsey pants. If I ever go work in a facility that requires plain blue scrubs, I will be very sad.

Koi, FTW!

Solid colors only. Ever since I splurged on my Koi scrubs, I've been getting a lot of compliments from coworkers. I've even been asked to "turn around" a couple times to give a 360 view lol. They fit perfectly and give me shape (I'm petite), so they don't overwhelm me like a majority of scrubs do. I love the cargo pants too. I just love Koi period! :)

BTW, loving the scrub shorts. HOT! (Good one...I miss Scrubs)

I have some print tops and some solid tops. I prefer the Koi brand scrubs. They are a little expensive but soft and worth it.
